I made this line 8.5 instead of 7.5, mainly because Boston always seems to strike out a ton against lefties. Not only that, but Ragans is one the best power pitchers in the American League.
The young hurler has a K-rate of 29.7%, which ranks in the 90th percentile. Ragans also has an elite whiff rate that puts him in the 92nd percentile. He should be able to mow down these BoSox hitters.
Ragans should be able to generate a ton of swings and misses against a Red Sox lineup that has 6 players with strikeout rates over 23%. If you like to play ladders with K props, this play might be one to consider.

Wow! This line is another shocker! I get that Heaney has looked great in his last few starts, but should we really be getting plus money in this spot? The Astros don't fan that often at the plate, regardless of who is on the mound.
Houston has 6 players with K-rates less than 20%. Five of those hitters actually strike out less than 15.6% of the time! Heaney has also struggled to get Ks against the Astros, as his career K-rate against them is just 13.3%.
Heaney's median K number this season is 5. However, that has to be adjusted downward because of the Astros propensity to put the ball in play. Heaney has only struck out 3 Houston hitters in his 2 starts against them in 2024. Give us the Under!
