Friday was a fantastic night for the good guys, as our MLB strikeout props went a perfect 3-0. It felt great to sweep the board to put a bow on a roller coaster month of June. We ended up going 37-38 and losing about 3.5 units.

While that's obviously not the month we'd hoped for, it's to be expected in this crazy world of MLB betting. After profiting 22 units in May, we were due for some regression. All in all, though, we're still sitting pretty with a record of 140-109 on the season!

Monday's MLB slate is kind of disappointing, as we only have 3 games to pick apart. As hard as I tried I couldn't find a player prop worth playing. However, I did find a side I liked in the Brewers at Rockies tilt at 8:40 PM EDT. Let's get the month started off on the right foot!

A Good Team vs. a Bottom Feeder

Our bet on the Brewers was an easy one to make! Milwaukee is a legitimate Top 10 team, while Colorado is one of (if not, the worst) team in baseball. The Brew Crew is on pace to win 90 games, while the Rockies may not even win 60.

I'm not a big fan of Milwaukee starter Bryse Wilson, but I trust him a whole lot more than Colorado starter Austin Gomber. Gomber has given up 17 earned runs over his last 3 starts. The young lefty has especially struggled in the first inning of late, as he gave up 15 runs in the first stanza during his June starts.

Huge BP and Hitting Edges for Milwaukee

Yes, I know that Colorado has played much better at home this season, but I don't think that helps them much in this spot. The Rockies just played a 14 inning game yesterday and their already-thin bullpen is gassed. Colorado ranks dead last in MLB in bullpen K minus BB rate.

The Brewers pen isn't elite, but it's much more serviceable than the Rockies. Milwaukee relievers have very good marks in both ERA (3.14) and WHIP (1.17). Never underestimate the importance of a good bullpen when playing MLB sides.

As far as hitting is concerned, Milwaukee has a nice advantage in that department too. The Brewers have 5 everyday players (Contreras, Adames, Bauers, Hoskins, Yelich) with expected slugging percentages of .433 or better. The Rockies have just one (Ryan McMahon). Let's lay the lumber with the BeerMakers! Good luck, folks!
