MLB Betting Guide: 2 Player Props for Thursday, June 27

After a nice 2-1 Hump Day, we're hoping to go on another hot run with our MLB player props! Here's what's on tap for Thursday, June 27.

Wednesday was another profitable day for the good guys, as we finished up 2-1 with our MLB player props. Our yearly mark now sits at 136-107, which isn't too shabby. It's been an up and down June after a stellar May, but we've weathered the storm.

Today's card is light, as we only have 9 games on the board. In addition to the 2 player props, we're also sitting on a Twins series bet over the D'Backs (posted at our sister site). We're going to let that one ride, even though Minny is starting a kid who's making his pro debut this afternoon.

Good luck today, sports betting family! Let's put Thursday in the win column!

Miles Mikolas Over 4.5 Ks (+146)

DraftKings is offering up a nice 33% Odds Boost on any MLB wager today, so that's how we got this insanely generous price! Head to their website or over to the mobile app to opt in to this nice promo. Even without the odds boost, this is a solid opportunity for Mikolas.

No, the veteran righty isn't known as a bigtime strikeout guy. However, Mikolas has gone over this total in 4 of his last 6 starts, so current form is definitely on our side. The 35-year-old doesn't throw that hard, but he locates his fastball well and does a good job of changing speeds.

We've done well fading this Reds lineup all year long and there's no reason to stop now. Cincy has had trouble putting the ball in play this season against righties, as they have 4 hitters with K-rates of 24% or more.

Poor old Will Benson is striking out 40.2% of the time, so Mikolas may ring him up 2 or 3 times tonight in St. Louis. Elly De La Cruz and Jeimer Candelario also present solid opportunities for Ks. Let's take the Over!

Michael Wacha Under 3.5 Ks (-105)

Wacha isn't too bad, but he's not a prolific strikeout pitcher. The 32-year-old has stayed under this total number of Ks in 3 of his 5 home starts this season. The veteran righty has a couple of good offspeed pitches, but I don't see him doing well against this Cleveland lineup.

Speaking of the Guardians, they are one of the best teams in MLB at NOT striking out against right-handed pitchers. Cleveland has 8 (yes, EIGHT) guys with K-rates under 19.3%. Even their big power guys just don't swing and miss that often.

Oddsmakers are expecting a short outing from Wacha in this one, as his Outs line is currently listed at just 15.5 and juiced slightly to the Under. That means that he'll have to get 4 Ks in 5 innings of work to beat us on this prop. I don't see that happening, so let's take the Under with confidence!
