Happy Tuesday, sports betting family! It's even happier because we went a perfect 3-0 last night in MLB. The Pirates, Rangers, and Red Sox all came through for us! That brings our record to 6-0 to start the 2024 season.

Indulge me in a brief PSA before we get to today's best bets. Please don't raise your bet sizes just because we're on a hot streak. Baseball betting is full of peaks and valleys, so continue to bet responsibly.

Best Bet: Rangers +134 (FanDuel)

Here we go again riding the defending world champs at a nice dog price. I just don't get why the books keep pricing Texas as an underdog. Tampa Bay has a great squad, but as we saw last night, this Rangers offense is just too dangerous.

Yes, the loss of Josh Jung does hurt Texas a little bit, but this lineup has enough depth to overcome his wrist injury. Tampa Bay starter Zach Eflin is a stud, but he'll still have to figure out how to hold down Marcus Semien, Adolis Garcia, and Corey Seager. That is no easy task, to say the least!

Texas starter Andrew Heaney does scare me at times, but he has an above average fastball for a lefty and he does a good job of making hitters chase his slider outside of the zone. Even though I give a slight edge to the Rays in the starting pitcher department, the Rangers bullpen has been lights out so far (.193 batting average against and 2.81 ERA). Give me the dog!

Best Bet: Red Sox -154 (BetMGM)

I don't normally like laying over -150 in MLB, but this price is too cheap on the BoSox for the second straight evening. Last night, we saw once again how terrible Oakland's pitching staff is. The A's bullpen has actually looked a little better, but their starting pitcher combined ERA of 9.14 tells us all we need to know.

Boston starter Brayan Bello isn't a big strikeout guy, but he has great offspeed stuff and he ranked in the 92nd percentile in ground ball percentage last season. Look for Bello to use his changeup and his slider to keep Oakland's hitters off balance.

As I said yesterday, I'll take Boston's lineup over Oakland's all day long. The A's are averaging just 2.3 runs per 9 innings so far this year, while the Red Sox are averaging 4.5. Let's drink the juice and play Boston again tonight!

Best Bet: Dodgers -135 (DraftKings)

This is a bit of a risk since the Dodgers haven't officially named a starter for this game against the Giants. Nevertheless, I'll jump on the boys in blue at a very reasonable price. Logan Webb is a good starter for San Fran, but having to face the likes of Betts, Ohtani, Freeman, and Muncy sounds pretty tough.

The G-Men bullpen has been an atrocity to start the season. San Fran has a bullpen ERA of 10.00 and a WHIP of 1.83. The Dodgers pen hasn't been lighting it up either, but they're numbers are far more respectable (5.23 ERA / 1.32 WHIP).

As you might expect, LA has been on a tear at the plate. The Dodgers are averaging 7.1 runs per game while batting .289. Let's ride the Dodgers to close out the Tuesday card!
