It was not the best start to the second half of the MLB season for the Cincinnati Reds.

The Milwaukee Brewers swept the Reds over the weekend, topping it off with an 8-0 rout Sunday, to put Cincinnati back seven games in the standings.

The Brewers had let teams start to creep back into the NL Central race, but this last few days might be the impetus they need to go on and win the division by double digits.

The NL East race has tightened, though, thanks to the hot play of the Philadelphia Phillies. The New York Mets, now without Jacob deGrom for a little while (or longer), might be in a little trouble, especially when you look at their schedule from now until the last week of August.

Tonight, I would expect the Reds to pile more misery on the Mets.
