Call yesterday an average day and move on to the next day.
Sunday wasn’t our best day, with just one winner in three games (Rangers over Giants). Joey Gallo’s home run in that game, however, made up a little for the two losses (Royals and Rays, who I can’t believe were swept by the Orioles).
It’s Monday, so here are some more picks to ponder.
Pitchers: Zach Plesac vs. Sonny Gray
Odds: Indians +120; Reds -140
Pitchers: Danny Duffy vs. Alec Mills
Odds: Royals +140; Cubs -160
Pitchers: Walker Buehler vs. Chris Paddack
Odds: Dodgers -145; Padres +125
Single: The Padres have played well early against sub-par competition. Now, hey get the big boys. Buehler is 4-0 in his career against the Pads, while Paddack is 0-1 with a 5.65 ERA in three starts against L.A. Take the Dodgers.
Double: It’s always Sonny in Cincinnati when Gray pitches. The All-Star is off to a great 2-0 start. And this stat is impressive: In his last 35 starts he’s allowed six hits, or less. Take Gray and the Reds.
Triple: Use the Cubs and Mills to beat his former team, the Royals, in parlays with the Reds and Dodgers.
Home Run: Let’s go with Corey Bellinger (+235) to get on a roll; Eugenio Suarez (+200), who just missed two HRs, Sunday and Aaron Judge (+230) to make it six straight games with a home run.
