Today is a great day to watch baseball if you love good pitchers. We start with Zack Greinke, who is on the mound against the Nationals. The Diamondbacks are 5-1 in Greinke's last six starts when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game and 4-1 in their last five after a win. Meanwhile, the Nationals are 1-11 in their last 12 games following an off day. . . . I just love picking the Mets to lose when they have one of the best pitchers in baseball on the mound. It’s something that could blow up in my face in a moment’s notice, but it’s so much fun when it hits. And the Mets are 2-9 in Jacob deGrom’s last 11 starts, so the value is there, too. Don’t be shy. . . . This is a tough one, but I just have a hunch. Betting against Clayton Kershaw is not for the faint of heart, but the 4-1 in their last five games vs. a left-handed starter and are coming off a tough series with the Rockies. They have something to prove. I wouldn’t go heavy on this one, but it will be a fun one to have a little extra interest in, aside from the Jon Lester-Kershaw showdown. . . . Those who have followed this journey know I love a good revenge game and I have a sick addiction to betting on the White Sox. Here, we have the best of both. Ivan Nova goes against his former team, the Yankees, on the South Side of Chicago. Seems like a recipe for an upset!
