MLB Wednesday - Albert picks Phillies vs Diamondbacks, Cubs vs Rockies, Rangers vs Red Sox, and Orioles vs Blue Jays

Published on

Favorite Pick of the Day:
Phillies (-141) over Diamondbacks

Save Pick of the Day
Cubs (-132) over Rockies

Are You Sure? Pick of the Day:
Rangers (+133) over Red Sox

Pick’em of the Day:
Orioles (-109) over Blue Jays

The Skinny:
The Phillies are just a different team at home, especially when Zach Eflin is on the mound. They are 6-1 in Eflin’s last seven home starts. . . . The save today comes from the Cubs, who are trying to save the series in Colorado. And having Cole Hamels on the mound is a good way to do it. The Cubs are 6-0 in Hamels' last six starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance. Meanwhile, the Rockies are 1-6 in Antonio Senzatela’s last seven starts vs. the National League Central. . . . Sure, Rick Porcello is great at home, but the trends lie heavily in the Rangers favor on Wednesday, for whatever reason. The Rangers are 5-1 in Lance Lynn’s last six starts when their opponent allows five runs or more in their previous game and 5-1 in his last six starts after scoring five runs or more in their previous game, both of which happened yesterday. Also, the Red Sox are 1-7 in their last eight home games. . . . Both these teams are bad, but the Orioles are 4-1 in their last five against their counterparts from up North. That’s all I got for this one, folks.
