MLB Monday: Albert quickpicks Astros vs Tigers, Athletics vs Mariners, Brewers vs Phillies, and Orioles vs Yankees

Published on

Favorite Pick of the Day:
Astros (-177) over TIGERS

Western Front Pick of the Day
Athletics (-103 ) over MARINERS

Are you sure? Pick of the Day:
Brewers (+140) over PHILLIES

Long Shot Pick of the Day:
Orioles (+205) over YANKEES

The Skinny:
The Astros are pretty pretty good with Brad Peacock on the mound. The Astros are 8-1 in Peacock’s last nine starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance, 6-1 in Peacock’s last seven starts during Game 1 of a series and 6-1 in Peacock’s last seven starts when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game. . . . Oh how the mighty have fallen. Once one of the hottest teams in baseball, they’ve been a part of a nasty nose dive to below .500. The Athletics are 12-3 in Mike Fiers' last 15 starts on grass while the Mariners are 1-6 in their last seven home games vs. a right-handed starter. . . . Any time you bet against Aaron Nola can be considered an “are you sure?” moment. But the Phillies are 1-4 in Nola’s last five Monday starts and are 0-4 in their last four home games following a road trip of 7 or more days. . . . This is indeed a long shot, but the Yankees are coming off an intense series with the Rays back to friendly confines against an inferior opponent, all the makings of a letdown. That, and the Yankees are 0-4 in Jonathan Loaisiga’s last four starts.
