The Skinny:
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. Because you are all angels for putting up with people like me (and Boop), there’s no way we’re picking against the Halos today. It doesn’t hurt they’re playing Baltimore, because the Angels are 6-1 in the last seven when playing at Camden Yards. . . . Maybe it’s just my dumb brain, but it seems like the Athletics always find a way to make noise on Mother’s Day (see: Dallas Braden). That and the fact the Indians are 0-4 in their last four Sunday games has me on the A’s. . . . With Blake Snell on the mound, the Rays are hard to beat. They are 17-4 in Snell’s last 21 home starts vs. a team with a winning record, and I don’t see that changing against a beat-up Yankees lineup today. . . . Not that I would have picked them today anyways, but the Phillies send Cole Irvin to the mound with Vince Velasquez on IR for 10 days, The Royals are 4-1 in Jakob Junis' last five home starts.
