Favorite Pick of the Day:
WHITE SOX (+169) over Red Sox

Over of the Day
CUBS v Cardinals - Over 7

Pick’em of the Day:
Diamondbacks (-110) over ROCKIES

Are you sure? Pick of the Day:
Nationals (+152) over PHILLIES

The Skinny:
This isn’t a favorite pick of the day in the sense that it’s a favorite to win, but it’s surely my favorite to pick. The White Sox are hot, even more scorching with Reynaldo Lopez on the bump. The White Sox are 4-1 in Lopez’s last five home starts, 5-1 in Lopez’s last six home starts vs. a team with a losing record and 4-1 in Lopez’s last five starts during Game 2 of a series. . . .  To start, seven is low for non-aces on the mound in any game. Combine that with the fact that over is 13-3 in Cardinals last 16 after allowing two runs or less in their previous game and over is 5-1 in Cubs last six games following a win and you have a nice trend play. . . .  The Diamondbacks are 4-0 in their last four road games while the Rockies are 0-4 in their last four home games vs. a left-handed starter. As a toss up, it’s pretty clear which side I’m taking. . . . The Phillies have mostly had the Nationals’ number this year. But with Jerad Eickhoff on the mound, they might not be a good bet. The Phillies are 0-5 in their last five during Game 1 of a series and 1-10 in Eickhoff’s last 11 starts during Game 1 of a series.
