MLB Thursday: Albert’s Quick Pitches - Braves v Reds, Marlins v Phillies, Yankees v Angels, and Indians v Astros

Published on

Favorite Pick of the Day:
REDS (-140) over Braves

Off the Snide Pick of the Day
PHILLIES (-200) over Marlins

Pick’em of the Day:
Yankees (-110) over ANGELS

If You Must:
Indians (+143) over ASTROS

The Skinny:
There’s not too much pointing to a Cincy win over Atlanta today, but there are two trends to be aware of: The home team is 9-0 in Phil Cuzzi’s last nine games behind home plate in games the Reds are involved in and the Reds are 4-0 in their last four against a team with a winning record. . . . Things can’t get worse for Aaron Nola, can they? He’s regressed from his Cy Young worthy 2018 and has struggled mightily this year. But a start against the lowly Marlins might be just what he needs to get it going: The Phillies are 9-1 in Nolas last 10 home starts against a team with a losing record. . . . Get the brooms out! The Yankees are the hottest team in baseball despite missing almost their entire squad. New York is 6-0 in Masahiro Tanaka’s last six starts against the Angels, too. . . . This doesn’t seem like a solid pick, but the Indians are 8-0 in Trevor Bauer’s last eight starts against the Astros. Worth a shot!
