MLB Tuesday: Albert’s Quick Pitch Picks - Nationals v Phillies, Blue Jays v Red Sox, Yankees v Astros, and Twins v Mets

Published on

Favorite Pick of the Day:
PHILLIES (-135) over Nationals

Matinee of the Day
RED SOX (-240) over Blue Jays

Low-Risk, High Reward
Yankees (+160) over ASTROS

If You Must:
METS (-227) over Twins

The Skinny:
The Phillies are rolling, thanks to Rhys Hoskins doing what he does best: hitting dingers. But today, the Phils have ace Aaron Nola on the mound at home, where they are are 21-5 in Nola’s last 26 starts. That’s hard to ignore. . . . The Red Sox finally get to play in front of their fans at Fenway, and Chris Sale on the mound means they’re heavy favorites to win. Boston is 6-1 in Sale’s last seven starts vs. American League East, so although the price is high, it’s a pretty easy one to pull the trigger on. . . .  Any time you can get the Yankees, who are rolling now, at a price like +160, take the chance. New York is 4-1 in its last five road games, though Houston provides a taller task than the others. . . . The price isn’t right, but any time Jacob deGrom is on the mound, money usually follows. The Mets are 4-0 in deGrom’s last four starts. If the price has you antsy, try the under (6.5). Yeah, it’s low, but Under is 7-0 in the last seven meetings in New York between the Twins and the Mets. Add in deGrom and you have a good shot at cashing a ticket.
