Sunday’s Race Recap from Belmont:
(All odds US)
Belmont Park:
Race 1: 1st@ 7.00/1 🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨
Race 5: 1st@ 6.10/1 🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨
Race 6: 8th@ 6.90/1
Race 9: 4th@ 1.00/1
Starting our July 4th weekend hotter than a firecracker 🧨! Our day began with Wisecracken shooting right to the lead from the start off the layoff. He set a controlled pace beneath Kendrick Carmouche. Rockstar Red sat the pocketed trip behind and turning for home Rockstar Red passed us but Wisecracken battled back gamely along the rail for a 7/1 WIN! In Race 5, the debuting She Slays was taken just off the early pace and when the pacesetters started to tire, she kicked it into high gear and blew past them for an eye-catching debut victory. We got 6/1 here in the U.S. but I hope some of our European members locked in the 12/1 morning line. In Race 6, Blame It On Daddy stalked the pace but nobody pressed King of Comedy who walked on the lead and would never be caught. Daddy faded in the drive. In Race 9, Wardeya raced well back and only rallied mildly.
We’ve got BONUS coverage from Belmont Park for the July 4th holiday week !! 🧨 I’m handicapping for fast and firm conditions. Let’s get started!
Belmont Park:
Race 9: Over the Cap - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 4/1)
Maiden claimers bred in New York race a mile and a sixteenth on the inner turf. For my selection here a lot will come down to the break as he’s raced twice and ducked in sharply at the start of his debut effort then dwelt at the start of his second race. Today he makes start number three and he adds blinkers. I’m hoping that keeps him more focused and I love the fact that Jose Ortiz (23% wins) stays here for top trainer Linda Rice (25% wins). His 7th and 9th place finishes in his first two starts don’t look great on the surface but he came away with some pretty snappy closing fractions finishing faster than most of his rivals in both races. A better start should put him right there.
Best of luck to all our members playing Monday’s races from Belmont Park!
