Race 2: SCRATCH
Race 4: 2nd@ 2.00/1
In Race 4, Admiral’s Wave was bet down to 2/1 off a 4/1 morning line. He raced in perfect striking position just off a pretty wicked pace duel but an upset-minded longshot debut runner Ambor Night had his measure and moved past Admiral’s Wave to record the 25/1 victory.
Let’s kick off Preakness weekend with a few races from Pimlico. Fast and firm conditions are on the docket. Let’s get to work:
Pimlico:
Race 13: Taxed - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 15/1)
The Grade 2 Black Eyed Susan is the filly counterpart to tomorrow’s Grade 1 Preakness. For a race with a 7/5 favorite, who keeps beating the same fillies in California, I would love to get 15/1 on Taxed, who races for a lower profile operation and who put up a top speed figure in her last start of 85. Not far off the best of these but odds are through the roof. Wet Paint, who has beaten this miss in her last three starts finished a good third in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks two weeks ago. She was actually entered in the Kentucky Oaks but was left on the outside looking in. Taxed has been working bullets and will likely be overlooked here. Bombs away in the Black Eyed Susan!
Best of luck to all our members playing Friday’s races from Pimlico!
