Belmont at Aqueduct:

Race 1: 3rd@ 2.35/1

In our only race at Belmont for the day, Dreampoint lagged early, came under a ride on the turn and began to inch forward in the stretch finishing in a close photo for second.

Saturday’s Race Recap from Parx:

(All odds US)

Replays for yesterday’s races from Parx can be found here:

Parx:

Race 7: 6th@ 4.00/1

Race 8: 1st@ 8.60/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 9: SCRATCH

Race 10: 11th@ 92.30/1

Race 11: 6th@ 4.60/1

Race 12: 9th@ 10.20/1

In Race 7, Too Boss raced 4 wide stalking the pace before fading to sixth. In Race 8, Riden with Biden took them gate to wire in the 1 1/2 Greenwood Cup at generous 8/1 odds (although he was 13/1 when they loaded in the gate and someone must’ve made a big bet on him at the last minute. Our selection scratched from Race 9. In Race 10 we didn’t like the favorites but Jelly Nougat never mustered a rally checkin in 11th at long odds. In Race 11, Adare Manor stalked the pace and faded in the drive and that was similar to the race Skippylongstocking ran in the Pennsylvania Derby as he looked good until the far turn where he went wide and faded.

We got an 8/1 win for a slight profit on the day.

Let’s head to Belmont at Aqueduct for Sunday’s races. We’re expecting cloudy skies with chillier temperatures along with a fast main track and a firm turf course.

We’re also going to head to Remington Park for the Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby where we’re expecting a fast main track. Ready close out the week with a few WINNERS!!

Sunday at Remington Park:

Race 11: Steal Sunshine - 1 pt win (US Morning Line the Odds: 6/1)

The Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby at 1 1/8th brings together a few Grade 3 types from the Triple Crown trail. Our morning line favorite is Best Actor who will be trying the 1 1/8th distance for the first time. He’s going to have some pace pressure and most bettors will then look at Rattle N Roll, a closer who’s been excelling at the 1 1/16 distance. But his 1 1/8th mile races have been nothing to write home about. Steal Sunshine is a neat little horse. Florida based trainer Robert Dibona ran this horse in a maiden claimer at Gulfstream on the day after Christmas (he won by 10 1/2 lengths) and since that day I don’t think they’ve ever considered putting him up for sale again. They’ve run him in the Grade 1 Florida Derby where he was a bit overmatched by the likes of White Abarrio, Charge It and Simplification and recently he’s riding a three race win streak which includes stakes wins at Gulfstream Park and Ellis Park. Steal Sunshine is better bred to handle the distance than most in here and should be the one making the last move.

Best of luck to everyone playing Sunday’s races from Belmont at Aqueduct & Remington Park!
