I am hopefully taking in all the scenery as my two Del Mar plays will be viewed in person. A trip to Del Mar or any live racing can easily lead to madness or accepting the reality of what you like. With a loaded Saturday card with more options Friday night will be a relaxed approach.
For the readers two plays on the Del Mar card, which kicks off at 3pm (PST).
Race 5
Clm 20000 - 1 Mile - 3 YO
#5 Language Barrier (15-1)
Simply put this is a cheaper race where I think a price will win. Let's take a shot with Doug O'Neill snd hope he can run two back. I trust the bug aboard as well.
Race 7
State Bred - Fillies - The Fleet Treat $150k - 7 Furlongs
#4 Eddie's New Dream (4-1)
My brain tells me a cut back with a positive workout note and value leads to a bet. Yes, more speed on paper looks to be there and Umberto will be loaded on the 1 looking to fly home at short odds. Mario is aggressive and Mr. Cecil knows a thing or two. We should know 10 seconds into race if we have a shot.
