Saturday’s Recap from Gulfstream Park:

Race 4: 3rd@ 4.80-1 (US)

Race 5: 1st@ 2.60-1 (US)🔥🔥🔥

Race 6: 5th@ 5.80-1

Race 7: SCRATCH

Race 11: 1st@ 3.20-1 🔥🔥🔥

Not a bad weekend at all. US Racing Expert is 6 for 10 since Wednesday. We kicked off the day with All Power running her race at underlaid odds from a 20-1 morning line but nobody went with Beeboo, our favorite, and that was all she wrote. We got our first win in Race 5 when New York’s Finest stalked and pounced in the stretch. Weight of Glory sprinted to the lead and looked like he beat the gate but had little left in the stretch of Race 6 before fading to fifth. In Race 11, our selection- Jabuticaba sprinted to the lead soon after the start and held everyone at bay winning wire-to-wire.

We’ll look to keep the momentum up to close the week at Gulfstream Park where we expect sunny skies along with fast and firm conditions. Let’s get to work!

Sunday picks

Gulfstream Park:

Race 1: Happy Interest - 2 pts win - BEST BET (2-1 US Morning Line)

Maiden claimers sprint 5 1/2 furlongs and our selection finished second in her debut last out and in doing so posted a speed figure 9 points higher than any other runner in this field has posted in their careers to date. Between the fact that most horses typically improve in their second start, the fact that she appears to be the controlling speed and the fact that she receive Lasix for the first time, Happy Interest looks awfully tough to beat.

Race 3: Mama Longlegs - 1 pt win (20-1 US morning line)

Five furlong turf sprinters line up here and just 4 points separate the most recent speed figure on our 6/5 favorite from our 20-1 rank outsider selection, Mama Longlegs. Her low profile connections will ensure a fair price and each of her last three turf starts have been consistent. This runner also has the tactical advantage of having the fastest early speed while also having the rail. Could prove tough to run down in the stretch at a price.

Race 5: Minglewood - 1 pt win (4-1 US Morning Line)

Maidens run a mile on turf here and of the 9 that are running, 4 will be running for the very first time. The runners that already ran don’t look unstoppable and, our selection - a first time starter - hails from the Christophe Clement barn. This barn has 4 winners from 6 European- bred starters over the last two years (a stat shared with me by a new Twitter follower named Tumiga) and this one is owned by the Uber successful - Michael Dubb.

Best of luck to all our members playing Sunday’s races from Gulfstream Park!
