‘Disco Live’ boogies into Hard Rock Atlantic City
Sunday, Hard Rock Hotel Casino Atlantic City will turn back the hands (and feet) of time as it debuts its latest production, “Disco Live,” at the Sound Waves theater.
Produced by veteran casino impresario Allen Valentine (whose “Burlesque Show” returns to Borgata this spring), “Disco Live” pays tribute to the beat-heavy dance music that was the dominant musical—and cultural—force of its time.
While no set list has been released, it’s logical to assume such artists as The Bee Gees, Donna Summer and K.C. & The Sunshine Band will be represented.
“Disco Live,” which is scheduled to bookend this summer’s month-long run of the Broadway hit “Jersey Boys,” is Hard Rock’s follow-up to its inaugural presentation, “Motor City Live,” the atomic-powered tribute to the Motown record label that played to standing ovations last summer. Like that program, “Disco Live” will feature multiple dancers and vocalists and a live, onstage band.
Until otherwise noted, show times are 4 p.m. Admission is $30 and $20.
