The Sunday Philly Props: First Inning

Published on

It would be easy to see the back-to-back home runs hit by The H&H Boys Saturday and want to jump back on that Prop, but . . .

> Bryce Harper hasn’t gone yard in consecutive contests since Games 2-3-4 of the season; and . . .

> Rhys Hoskins has just two homers in his last 20 Citizens Bank Park games after opening the season with eight in his first 18 games at home.

No, instead we will have to go with something quick and easy, at least until this team gets its collective Mojo back.

There have been no first-inning runs scored in seven of the last 10 Phillies games. Yeah, neither team is exactly trotting Cy Young out to the hill Sunday (23-year-olds Jordan Yamamoto for the Marlins, Enyel De Los Santos for the Phils), but if they can each hold it together for a stanza, we can get ourselves a quick winner, which is always better than no winner at all.

At least Mike Kern says so.

Pick: Phillies-Marlins First Inning Under 0.5 ($5/+108)
