The Friday Philly Props: Phillies
Rhys Hoskins’ career .321 batting average against the Dodgers (in nine games) is his best against any National League team not located in the state of Pennsylvania. (He is batting .360 in seven games against the Pirates.) But he is just 1-for-5 (pinch-hit double) at Dodger Stadium.
He is 5-for-10 over his last three games, so let’s line him up in the home run column.
Bryce Harper has not homered in his last seven games at Dodger Stadium (4-for-26, with one double). Pass. He’ll probably just go and hit four doubles anyway. (See Friday Single Digits.)
J.T. Realmuto has three home runs in his last nine Dodgers Stadium at-bats, including one off Friday’s L.A. starter Kenta Maeda, whom he also took long out West in 2016. Realmuto should be rested and ready to go. He did not start Sunday or Thursday and the team had a off day Monday.
Jake Arrieta (5-4, 3.60) and Maeda (6-2, 3.67) have both been pitching well, but we will skip the Unders because the Phillies have posted an 11 and a nine over the last week or so and the Dodgers two nines, a 10 and an 11.
We’ll just sit back and wait for our three Fightin’s to go long and also throw in an off-the-beaten-path prop for good measure.
Pick: Game Tied After One Inning (-112)
Pick: Rhys Hoskins to Homer (+310)
Pick: J.T. Realmuto to Homer (+490)
