The Saturday Philly Props: Strikeouts

Published on

What’s up with the Rockies?

They strike out 24 times in 11 innings Tuesday in Boston and go whiffy again 16 times in 10 innings Wednesday, but come into Citizens Bank Park on Friday night and feel the need to strike out only four times?

Well, that can’t last. Aaron Nola, struggling to get back on track once again will see to that. In his only other Saturday game this season, he struck out nine Rockies.

Meanwhile, the Phillies Kd 12 times Friday night, reaching double figures for the sixth time in May. Colorado’s Antonio Senzatela does not punch out many (23 in 33.2 IP), but he had seven last time out (in 6.2 IP vs. Padres). He only needs four for us to win here, which is why we are laying -148.

With a 4 p.m. start and the shadows that come with it, he should get there before dinner is served.

Pick: Nola Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+108)
Pick: Senzatela Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-148)
