The Tuesday Philly Props: Phillies v Tigers, Vince Velasquez

The Phillies have been churning out a crap-load of Unders recently (nine of their last 12) and all four of Vince Velasquez’ starts. Sounds like a great place to start.

But rather than take the regular O/U at 8.5, we’re gonna venture lower for an alternative O/U line and a higher price. The options I am seeing are:

8 (+114), 7.5 (+132), 7 (+180), 6.5 (+215), 6 (+285) and 5.5 (+310).

Six of the Phillies’ last eight games have come in at six or under, so let’s go with 6.5 as the magic O/U here.

And since Tigers batters are coming off a record-tying 20-strikeout game Sunday against Reynaldo Lopez and the White Sox, let’s go with Velasquez to top the whiff O/U.
