The Sunday Philly Props: Phillies v Marlins

First Inning Runs
Published on

The Phillies haven’t scored a first-inning run in seven straight games.

Their Sunday starter is Vince Velasquez, who had a first-inning ERA of 3.00 last season (his best of Innings 1-5). He mowed down the Nationals in the opening frame of his only 2019 start to date.

This runs counter to our MLB Selection of a Phillies-Marlins Over, but we have faith that these guys (Sunday’s Miami starter is RH Jose Urena) can get six outs before the real damage starts being done.

By the way, not ready to jump back on the Home Prop Bandwagon yet. Think we’ll save that for something special Monday when the Mets come to South Philly.

Pick: Phillies-Marlins First Inning Under 0.5 (-103)
