This should be a fun game to kick off the Saturday slate of games. Aston Villa has been very good as of late, winning 3 of their last 5. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have been struggling, losing 3 of their last 5.
However, Bournemouth is coming off their best win of the season, a 2-0 victory against Arsenal. This series has been split 2-2-1 between these two sides over their last 5 games. The home team has won each time in their past 5 matchups, so Aston Villa will be looking to keep that streak alive.
Villa surely has the advantage going into this game but look for Bournemouth to try and keep momentum on their side after last weekend's shocking win.
Both of these teams have had a promising start to the season, but they are both coming off losses last weekend. With Chelsea sitting at 6th and Newcastle at 9th, this game has big implications on the League Table.
This matchup, much like Bournemouth vs Aston Villa, has been dominated by the home team in the last 5 matchups also sitting at 2-2-1. However, recent history has shown Chelsea struggling at home this season.
All three of the games in which Chelsea dropped points before the October international break came at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea certainly has the advantage going into this game and they will be looking to get back on track after a tough loss to Liverpool last weekend.
This is certainly the marquee match-up of the weekend. Liverpool is currently sitting atop the League Table while Arsenal is sitting in 3rd. Liverpool has been outstanding since their surprise loss to Nottingham Forest. They have since won 4 straight games and have amounted to 8 goals in those 4 games.
Arsenal on the other hand is coming into this game with a bad taste in their mouth. They lost 2-0 to Bournemouth last weekend on the road. That being their first loss of the season, they are still in good shape, but they will need to try and hold off another loss this weekend in Liverpool.
Arsenal’s last two trips to Anfield have resulted in draws, and they will certainly be looking for AT LEAST that this weekend. This should be a very fun one to end the Sunday slate of games.
