The Glazer family has turned Manchester United from European powerhouse and perennial English contenders into also-rans over the years through wasteful spending and terrible management. But it might all be coming to an end soon.
With protests set to disrupt the Week 3 Premier League contest Monday between the Red Devils and Liverpool–much like happened in May of 2021, when the match was postponed due to a pitch invasion–there has never been as much media spotlight on the Glazers' inept ownership as there is right now.
Elon Musk tweeted "Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome" Tuesday night and it sent fans all around the world into massive celebrations at the thought of an ownership change.
But will he really buy the club?
Maybe.
