Door is open for two Liverpool clubs to make Europe
This week’s results could not have gone much better for Liverpool and Everton.
Both teams harbor European hopes: Liverpool wants to make it back into the UEFA Champions League, while Everton will want to be playing in the Europa League next season.
The door is open for both, if they can win out over the next week. Each will play three games, and each has a match Sunday against a team that is already relegated.
I would expect both to come out and play like they want that spot.
In Germany, the same thing happened for Borussia Dortmund, which looked likely to miss out on the Champions League two months ago. But Eintracht Frankfurt opened the door, and Dortmund will kick it off its hinges Sunday with a huge win over Mainz.
