Chelsea, Tottenham, both try desperately to get back into Premier League title race
If you go back to the first 11 match weeks of the Premier League season and look at the table, Chelsea and Tottenham were flying.
But the festive period, and a packed January schedule, have tanked both London teams: currently, the teams head into Thursday’s huge battle 14 points behind Manchester City, and seven points behind Liverpool for fourth.
Quite frankly, both of these are in danger of being left behind for UEFA Champions League spots, but Chelsea might have a shot to get back into it with Thomas Tuchel in charge now.
Tottenham has been held to one goal or less in 10 of its last 15 matches: the last eight times that has happened, Spurs are winless (0-4-4).
If Chelsea can get an early goal, it could be lights out for Tottenham.
In Portugal, look for Porto to win easily today.
