Creeping ever-closer to relegation zone, Arsenal has Carabao Cup quarter final with Manchester City on tap Tuesday
Is this the distraction Arsenal needs right now, a EFL Carabao Cup quarter final contest with the three-time defending champions Manchester City?
Or could this add to the misery, if the Cityzens destroy Mikel Arteta’s side Tuesday, hoping to win their sixth league cup in eight years?
Arsenal stinks, that much is for sure. The Gunners are a mess on the pitch, in the dressing room, and at the board level. Of course, a win over City could jumpstart the campaign. But does anyone really see that happening?
I want to see what the lineups will be, but again, will it honestly matter? City has Newcastle at home Saturday, while Arsenal has to play Chelsea knowing a loss could see them just one point out of the relegation zone in 17th place.
If I was Arteta, I would play the kids today. But we shall see.
