NHL Playoffs Betting Guide: 4 Best Bets for Tuesday, April 30

Which teams will win and move on, and which teams will end up forcing a Game 6 in the NHL Playoffs? Let’s get into our best bets for Tuesday night!

Andrew Elmquist

It is a great time to be a sports fan! The NBA and NHL playoffs are out in full force, as the first round for both leagues is coming to a close. While the NBA has certainly been captivating to this point, we’re turning our attention to the ice tonight.

There are four games taking place this evening, all of them are currently at 3-1. Which teams will win and move on, and which teams will end up forcing a Game 6?

That is the question we’re trying to answer with our picks below. Let’s get into our best bets of the night!

Boston Bruins -1.5 (+164, FanDuel)

Game 2 was an anomaly for the Bruins in this series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. They lost that game 3-2, the only game of the series that they’ve lost, which was also the only game of the series that a team didn’t win by two goals.

The Bruins offense is simply no match for the Maple Leafs, and, seeing they’re down 3-1, we’re projecting the Leafs to fold tonight.

Look for the Bruins to get to a commanding lead early, holding at least a two-goal lead when all is said and done in this one.

New York Islanders ML (+210, Caesars)

For some reason, we really like the Islanders to win tonight. They showed a lot of fight against the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 4, pulling out a gritty win in double OT.

If they can bring that energy into this matchup, there’s a good chance the Islanders can force a Game 6.

Plus, with Caesars giving them +210 juice on the ML, we couldn’t pass up on that kind of value, which is why we’re hoping a Game 6 is in our future!

Colorado Avalanche -2 (BetRivers, +300)

This was too good of value for us to pass up. Our analysis of the Colorado Avalanche is similar to that of the Islanders but for a different reason. The Avs have looked dominant over their past three games, winning 5-2, 6-2, and 5-1, respectively.

We might be crazy, but with their winning streak in mind, we’re going to keep riding with the Avs to blow out the Winnipeg Jets.

They’re a game away from the second round of the playoffs, and we anticipate them to keep their foot on the gas to win by three-plus goals, cashing in on this +300 play.

Vancouver Canucks ML (-118, DraftKings)

This might be our most boring play of the day. However, boring plays tend to build the bankroll, which is exactly what this play is intended to do.

The Canucks have dominated the Nashville Predators throughout this series, and we’re thinking that more of the same is on the docket in this one. Don’t be afraid to throw this ML in a parlay tonight!
