It is a rare one-off for the Caps and Blue Shirts Thursday when they meet in a single-game set before Washington (6-1-3) sets sail home for a two-game match-up with the Flyers (7-2-2). Those two teams and the Bruins (7-1-2) are scrunched up nice and tight atop the East Division. The Rangers, meanwhile, are tied for last with their brethren from across the East River, or wherever the heck the Islanders are playing these days.
But after an 0-4-1 start, New York (the R version) is 2-0-1 in their last three games and LW Artemi Panarin has a goal in each of them. He also had three goals in the Rangers’ three games (a pair of them in one game) against Washington last season, so we expect two things:
For the Capitals to fall in a classic Madison Square Garden trap game, although you wouldn’t know it from the pick ’em-type odds that are out there.
And for Panarin to have a huge say in it.
We managed to bob and weave through all the Super Bowl Prop odds and came away with the best Rangers/Panarin numbers we could find at DraftKings, FanDuel, Points Bet and Golden Nugget.
