Friday NHL Prop Bets: Boop looks at the Blue Jackets vs Blackhawks game to pick some period props

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Chicago Blackhawks starts at 8 pm ET on CBJ

Bob Vetrone

For the second time in three nights, the Blackhawks are involved in a very slow night on the frozen pond. And once again, we will place our money on wagers centering on their opponent.

He only difference is we would hope to cash in on the contest this time. (Thanks, Predators!)

Columbus enters this contest with goals in each of its last four first periods (7 total) and goals in each of its last four third periods (5), but but nary a tickling of the twine in the Middle 20.

Not really sure why or how that is the case for the Blue Jackets, but at least it gives us a little different way to lose our money. Variety, as they say, is the spice of life . . .

Draft Kings and William Hill had the best odds for us on the three-way betting (ties lose). But feel free to scope out the two-way odds (ties push), if you would like to cover you own puck. That’s probably the way to go, but we are feeling risky, so we walk the narrower tightrope tonight.
