> The Skinny
The Penguins are two points behind the Islanders for second place in the Metro Division and three points above the Blue Jackets, who currently own the first wild-card spot. Pittsburgh will try to take advantage of this disparaged Red Wings team and use it to help pass New York in the standings for home-ice advantage in a potential first-round match-up . . . The Lightning are two wins short of tying the Red Wings’ record of most wins (62) during a single season. They’ve got a three tough games remaining, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can get it done . . . The Kings, who suffered a brutal 7-2 loss to the visiting Flames Monday night, will head to Arizona on the tail end of a back-to-back. They should be gassed and the goals should be few and far between.
