The Boston Bruins (42-17-9) have been unstoppable down the stretch. They are currently on an 19 game point streak (15-0-4), solidifying themselves as a true contender this season for the Stanley Cup. They are getting contributions from all throughout their lineup. F David Krejci is on a personal 3 game goal streak as well. This 19-game point streak is the second longest in team history only trailing the 23-game run the 1940-41 Bruins team had (15-0-8). Not to mention the Bruins just wrapped up a perfect 6-0 home-stand. This team is impressive and has continued to excel even without F David Pastrnak who is out due to injury along with newly acquired F Marcus Johansson who took a brutal hit from F Michael Ferland of the Carolina Hurricanes. Even without those two this team is continuing to forge onward. Their chemistry is insanely good.

The Penguins (36-23-9) got crushed last night by the hands of the Blue Jackets. Pittsburgh missed out on the opportunity for the season sweep. The Pens lost 4-1 and just couldn’t get the offense going. Look for them to try and bounce back tonight after a frustrating outing yesterday. They will give the Bruins a run for their money, but we think Boston will get on trucking, potentially even enough so to beat the previous winning streak record.
