The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders kick off in a huge NFC East battle on TNF. With both teams doing what they can to take first place, the stakes are high, and the player props are even better.
After taking a look at the game, these are the best player prop picks for Thursday Night Football.
Player Prop Odds: +130
Jalen Hurts has been on a roll for the Eagles. He’s finding the end zone through the air with a strong and dominant passing attack.
Sure, Hurts is known for his dual-threat ability, and we love that about him, as of late however, he's leaned on his arm to put up the big points.
Coming off a strong performance against Dallas, where he threw 2 TDs, we’re thinking Hurts will stay hot against Washington’s defense, which has struggled against half-decent quarterbacks.
With A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith both thriving as downfield threats and being extremely hard to contain, Hurts is set up well to hit 2+ touchdowns, making this plus-money bet a nice value.
Player Prop Odds: -115
Saquon Barkley has been on a tear this season as well, and he’s just shy of the 1,000 rushing-yard mark with lots of games left in the season to blow right through that.
Barkley’s explosiveness has been on full display this season, and he’s facing a Washington front that hasn’t been particularly stout against elite rushers either.
With a workload that includes a high number of carries, Barkley has averaged over 5.8 yards per carry this season, making this over-bet a fantastic option.
Given that Barkley is also likely to get 20+ carries in this critical divisional matchup between the two powerhouses, the over on 95.5 rushing yards is well within reach for Barkley. Take this bet all day long.
Player Prop Odds: -135
Terry McLaurin has found himself as Washington’s go-to target. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels continues to look his way more than anyone else.
In last week’s game against Pittsburgh, McLaurin racked up 113 receiving yards on just 5 catches, showing both his big-play potential and reliability down the field.
McLaurin has blown through 4.5 receptions in 7 of his last 10 games, and with Philadelphia’s defense focused on stopping the run, we’re expecting Washington to rely on McLaurin in quick pass plays.
Daniels’ chemistry with McLaurin has grown steadily over the season, and in a game where the Commanders may need to play a bit of catch-up, we’re predicting that McLaurin will see plenty of targets throughout the night.
Player Prop Odds: -115
A.J. Brown has been dominant all season; however, he faces a tougher challenge against a Washington secondary that knows him well and tends to scheme heavily to limit explosive plays like the ones he can deliver.
Brown’s line is set at 82.5 yards, which he’s hit in most games this season, but Washington’s defense has tightened up against top receivers recently.
They’ll likely put safety help over the top to keep Brown from breaking loose downfield, and with DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert also good targets, we think Hurts will have to spread the ball around more.
Taking the under on Brown here is a bet on Washington’s ability to contain the big plays from the big man. Even with that, we still think Hurts gets 2+ passing TDs, but Brown might not be one of them.
Player Prop Odds: +280
For a plus-money defensive prop, Frankie Luvu to record a sack has some good value to it.
Luvu has shown he has the skills to disrupt opposing offenses, and the Commanders' offensive line has given up its share of pressure.
Jayden Daniels, while he’s been impressive thus far, is still adjusting to NFL pass-rush speeds. With his quick but sometimes risky play style, he could hold onto the ball a bit too long and we’ll probably see him take a sack or two in this game.
Luvu has a nose for the QB and has recorded at least half a sack in several games so far this season. Betting on him to notch one in this matchup will pay off with a high return.
Each of these picks highlights a key angle in what should be a good TNF matchup.
Whether it’s Hurts continuing his passing dominance, Barkley crushing it on the ground, or Luvu bringing defensive heat to keep pressure, these props add a bit more excitement to this NFC East showdown.
