Week 10 of the NFL season is officially here! There have been some surprising teams on both sides of the spectrum, as some have underperformed preseason expectations, while others have outshined where the masses thought they would be.
With that in mind, Week 10 starts with a juicy matchup between divisional rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are off to a hot start, but the Bengals have had some unfortunate luck, leaving them in a tough spot, record-wise. A win against the Ravens would certainly help their chances at a potential playoff berth, but it won’t be easy, as Lamar Jackson is playing lights-out.
While we’re not going to try and project who will win this game, we will go into our favorite player props from the action, hoping to sweep Underdog’s board for this game. Here we go!
Lamar Jackson is well on his way to winning another MVP award. He is much more than a rushing, athletic QB this year, as his passing is incredibly accurate, and he continues to put the Ravens in a prime position to win football games.
Jackson has historically lit up the Bengals, throwing at least two touchdown passes against them in three straight meetings.
It feels counter-productive to bet against him at this point in the year, so we’ll go ahead and take the over on this passing TD line.
Lamar Jackson can’t throw the ball to himself, and thankfully for him, Zay Flowers has stepped up as a big-time player in this offense.
With Mark Andrews’ production waning, and Isaiah Likely not quite repeating his early-season heroics, Flowers has been their most important pass-catcher. Flowers has logged 100+ yards in back-to-back games, making it easy for us to take the over on his line of 60.5.
This line might have felt high for him last season, but at the moment, it’s hard to ignore just how dominant Flowers has been this year. Look for him to have another big game against their division rival.
We knew we wanted to take the line of a Bengals player in this matchup but weren’t sure who to take. This team has been relatively inconsistent all year, so it was hard to pick who we wanted to go with.
That said, Mike Gesicki seemed like the safest bet, which is why we took the over on his receptions. Joe Burrow might struggle to throw the ball downfield due to the Ravens’ strong defensive front, forcing him to dump the ball off near the line of scrimmage.
Gesicki should be the recipient of the bulk of those targets, giving us confidence in his ability to hit this line.
