The Week 6 NFL card blesses all NFL fans with an outstanding NFC showdown between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. Will the Lions stay hot coming off their dominant Monday Night Football win and last week's bye? Or will Dallas quietly string together three straight victories?

We'll answer these questions and more below! Check out our betting guide below for the latest info! Good luck, sports betting family! This should be a highly entertaining game.

Betting Odds for Detroit at Dallas

There hasn't been much line movement on this game so far. Oddsmakers posted Detroit as a three-point favorite and that's where the line still sits as of Friday morning. Dallas isn't a home underdog very often, but Detroit is one of the best teams in the league.

As far as the total goes, it looks as if the sportsbooks are expecting a shootout. The line opened at 51 but has since been bet up to the current price of 52. These two offenses shouldn't have any trouble moving the football.

Will Jared Goff Keep Slicing Up Defenses?

Goff is coming off a record-setting performance on Monday Night Football, where he completed all 18 of his passes for 292 yards and 2 touchdowns. He and offensive guru Ben Johnson were on the same page all game long against the Seahawks and they'll look to keep that positive mojo going in Dallas.

Detroit throws the ball well, but we all know that the heart and soul of this team is the big offensive line and the running game. The Lions average 32.2 rushes per game, which is the 4th-most in the NFL. This unit should dominate a Dallas defense that's surrendering 135 rushing yards per contest.

The Detroit defense has been a bit banged up, but they should have Brian Branch back in the secondary for this game. That should help them, especially since they like to play lots of press-man coverage.

Can Dallas Build on Last Week's Victory?

Dak Prescott didn't play a flawless game on Sunday Night Football against the Steelers, but he came through when it mattered most for Dallas. Prescott threw three costly interceptions, but he found Jalen Tolbert in the end zone to get his team over the hump on the road in tough weather.

Rico Dowdle looked a little better running the ball last week, but this Dallas offense still ranks next to last in yards per rush (3.5). I don't expect the Cowboys to be able to run the ball very effectively against this stout Detroit defensive line. Also, we know that Aidan Hutchison will find a way to get pressure on Prescott.

The Dallas defense has been underwhelming so far this season, and injuries to Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence surely hasn't helped things. The good news is that they should have DaRon Bland back in the secondary.

Best Bet: Lions -3 (-112) (DraftKings)

I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan, so it pains me to bet against my favorite team. However, faithful readers of my column know that my only true allegiance is to our bankrolls. In that aspect, I think this is a great spot for the Lions.

Remember what happened the last time Dallas faced an elite team at home? They were run out of their own building against Baltimore. I actually have Detroit rated slightly ahead of Baltimore in my power ratings, so a play on the Lions makes a lot of sense to me.

We're getting a fantastic Detroit team coming off a bye that should still be a little salty about last year's loss to Dallas in Week 17. The Lions should put up plenty of points against a Dallas defensive line that's missing a ton of key pieces. As much as it pains me to say it, "Go Lions."
