The Atlanta Falcons have been looked at like how kids look at vegetables for several years now, but all that changed as of last week. Suddenly, there’s a buzz around the team again after taking down the Philadelphia Eagles in a shocker this past Monday Night. The Kirk Cousins led group is going to be looking to prove they’re for real on Sunday Night Football, and they’ll have the perfect opponent to do just that.
On the other side of this matchup are the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. The Kansas City Chiefs are still the Chiefs they have been even if some of the faces have changed; there’s really only one that matters anyway. The Chiefs just squeaked one out last week with a miraculous 4th down conversion, courtesy of a P.I. call, to remain undefeated on the season. They’ll absolutely be looking to make a statement this week and leave no doubts that they are still as strong as ever.
Due to their early season performance and since, well, it’s the Chiefs, they’ve opened as 3-point favorites against Atlanta. Home or away doesn’t matter too much to Kansas City as they are a consistent group, and Atlanta has a lot to prove even after last weeks victory.
But let’s get down to what really matters for this one (sorry ATL and KC fans). Where does the action lie and where should we be looking to cash on a same game parlay? Let’s take a look at our best same game parlay for the Falcons vs. Chiefs on Sunday Night Football!
Kirk really showed out last week and laid to rest any concerns about his ability to lead this team into the end zone. That 2-minute drill? Chefs kiss.
He looks to be developing chemistry with his receiving core and he still delivers pinpoint passes, so I expect him to find the endzone more than once on Sunday night.
KC is still finding their footing within their secondary and giving up over 256 passing yards a game so far.
The overall sentiment is that Robinson is a top 5 or even top 3 back in this league. He has shown that the praise is well deserved so far this season.
He’ll have a great opportunity to break free against a middle of the road rushing defense in Kansas City. I don’t expect Robinson to necessarily go over 100 in this game, but I absolutely believe he’ll hit the over in this one.
Betting against Patrick Mahomes never feels right. The Falcons pass defense has been solid so far, albeit small sample size featuring Justin Fields and the Steelers offense.
But they haven’t faced anyone like Mahomes, until now. With Isiah Pacheco out for the foreseeable future and with the backfield being a complete mystery, expect the Chiefs to lean on the arms of Mahomes more than usual in this one.
Sunday Night Football is sure to deliver a great game between two squads with very different storylines around them this year.
We will likely know more about the Falcons than we will about the Chiefs after this one, but any time we get two clubs that expect to make deep playoff runs together, we should get quite a show.
