The NFL season kicks off this Thursday, September 5th, with the Baltimore Ravens heading to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the returning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
After an amazing week 1 of College Football, I am more than ready to see what the NFL has in store for us this season. With a ton of highly contested matchups to lead off the year, we will get to see what each team will look like in the new season.

Freshly signed to Baltimore after a long career with the Tennessee Titans, Derrick Henry will be joining a run-heavy offense led by Lamar Jackson.
King Henry rushed for 11 TDs last season on the struggling Titans, but I expect him to see a ton of goal-line work. Henry will be the feature back for this offense which has long been searching for their bell cow.
Barley signed with the Philadelphia Eagles over the offseason after 6 seasons with the New York Giants. Back in his home state of Pennsylvania, Barkley will be looking to be a key contributor for the Eagles this season.
With a Friday Night matchup in Brazil against the Packers, I’ll be looking for Saquon to get his formal introduction to the Bird Gang.
Jalen Hurts rushing skills may take some goal line touches from Saquon, but I expect the coaches to dial him up early in the season.
The Texans were the surprise of the 2023 season. Coming onto the scene with rookie QB CJ Stroud and rookie Head Coach DeMeco Ryans leading the charge, they finished the season 10-7 losing to the Ravens in the Divisional Round.
The Texans' last matchup with the Colts was a road win on Saturday night in the final week of the regular season. They made a ton of moves this offseason and CJ Stroud will only be getting better. I think the Texans will come out hot this year and set the tone for their season.
Aaron Rogers' time with the New York Jets has been interesting, to say the least. From not showing up to mandatory minicamp to his darkness retreats, his off-field shenanigans have been a major distraction for the team.
After only playing about 1 minute of the game last season, I am interested to see how he looks coming into this season. Rogers has some good WRs in Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams, so I think he can put up some numbers in his debut.
The Niners are tough and will likely be winning the game, forcing Rogers to sling it. This may be my favorite play of Week 1!
