Have you ever seen a GOAT lift the Super Bowl trophy?

Of course you have: Tom Brady has been doing it since February of 2002.

But this season will be different for Brady, as he leads the hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers out Sunday in Super Bowl LV against the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, and the heir apparent to Brady’s throne, Patrick Mahomes.

With more bettors than ever allowed to legally place bets, this could be the biggest game in the history of the sport. If you are betting with sports betting site Unikrn, you have faith (a LOT of it) that Brady will continue his record-breaking career with another vintage Super Bowl performance, this time at home with a new team.

Unikrn wagers have been overwhelmingly in favor of the Bucs and Brady (who has four Super Bowl MVP awards to his name already and six titles), but Mahomes, who won the MVP last season with a 21-point fourth quarter, is the current favorite to win the award at -135.

“This year Unikrn has seen a record +500% increase in betting activity on the big game, suggesting that this year’s showdown is going to be the biggest, best and most bet-on Super Bowl in history,” said one senior Unikrn oddsmaker. “With bettors, there has been one overwhelming trend, and it is the ‘Tom Brady effect’. Ninety percent of action on the money line is on the Bucs, despite them being underdogs to win. This has to be fans believing in Brady to win his seventh Super Bowl. But with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs gunning for back-to-back championships, this could be a bridge too far for Brady, the Bucs, and their backers.”

The Tom Brady factor means an incredible 90% of stakes on Sunday’s Super Bowl ride on outsiders the Bucs, according to sports betting site Unikrn. And interest in the 43-year-old’s attempt to become MVP for a record fifth time has driven a huge 500% year-on-year increase in action on the big game compared to Super Bowl LIV.
