This Nov. 15, 2020, file photo shows Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb (24) and Kareem Hunt (27) walking off the field after the Browns defeated the Houston Texans in Cleveland. One is quiet, super steady, and a rising NFL star. Cleveland's other running back is outgoing, flashy, and has his career back on track after a major detour. Chubb and Hunt couldn't be any different. Ron Schwane | Associated Press

Monday Night Football: Mims has 3 prop bets and the game pick for Ravens vs Browns

The numbers are Ravens -3 and total is 46.5

Robert Mims

The Baltimore Ravens are trying to stay in the hunt for an AFC Wild Card spot. The Browns are riding a 4-game winning streak and have the advantage of being the home team. The numbers are Ravens -3 and total is 46.5.

Lamar Jackson is having a subpar season after winning the NFL MVP last year. He has a QBR of 63.0. This year, Jackson has rarely thrown for more than 250 yards a game. He has 17 TDs and 7 interceptions. Baker Mayfield has been impressive even without marquee receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Mayfield’s QBR is 70.5 and he has thrown for 21 TDs with 7 interceptions.

Browns hang their hats on the running game with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Chubb is one of the best RBs in the league. When Hunt comes in, he is also an effective pass receiver out of the backfield. The Ravens also have a punishing rushing attack with the explosive JK Dobbins. He gained 71 yards in 11 attempts in the last game against the Cowboys.

Prop Bets to watch:

  • Jackson over 53.5 yards rushing. He prone to trust his legs so he should get this easy. The line is -110.

  • Nick Chubb over 79.5 yards. The line is -110. Chubb is good for 16-20 carries. He averages a 6.0 per rushing attempt. That measures out to and over the projected total.

  • JK Dobbins over 46.5 The price is -112. He has gained over 70 in the last two games. This game will make 3 in a row!

The Browns are playing well defensively and they are scoring. They have averaged 25 points per game during the winning streak. If they get the lead, they can keep the Baltimore offense off the field. The Ravens have a hard time scoring and have only exceeded 28 points once in their last 5 games. Unless they score on special teams or defense it will not happen tonight. The Ravens defense will help them stay in a slugfest that the Browns will control from 3 quarters on. The line is scary because Browns should be favored because of being home. The 3 points are a gift. I like the Browns.
