Week 9 NFL late games: Jared Hackmyer picks Raiders vs Chargers, Cardinals vs Dolphins, Bucs vs Saints, more

The Steelers vs. the decimated Cowboys should be a blowout but the other games all look worth watching.

Raiders (+1) CHARGERS (52)

Jared’s Pick: Raiders

Breakout Player: RB Josh Jacobs

The Chargers have had a tough time holding onto leads this season. Going against a team like Las Vegas, I don’t see anything changing. L.A. has been great with yards and points on offense, but they can’t find a way to finish a game on both sides of the ball. Vegas’ offense has looked great in 2020. The defense is going to have to hold its ground if it wants to stop Justin Herbert's group. The game will be close and high scoring, but Vegas is better.

CARDINALS (-4.5) Dolphins (48)

Jared’s Pick: Cardinals

Breakout Player: RB Chase Edmonds

Arizona has looked like a Super Bowl Contender all season. Their offense has dominated all defenses in both, the passing and running game. If QB Tua Tagovailoa plays like he did last weekend, Arizona’s defense will crush Miami. Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins have been electric, and I don’t see Miami stopping them.

Steelers (-14) COWBOYS (42)

Jared’s Pick: Steelers

Breakout Player: WR Chase Claypool

This will likely be the biggest blowout of the week. Pittsburgh’s defense hasn’t let anyone embarrass them this season. With star RB Ezekiel Elliott likely out tomorrow, Dallas’ offense will likely be worse than it has been in the previous weeks. Pittsburgh should take this game easily.

BUCCANEERS (-4.5) Saints (51.5)

Jared’s Pick: Buccaneers

Breakout Player: WR Antonio Brown

Already having one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, Tampa Bay gets WR Antonio Brown on to the field this week. New Orleans, however, will finally have star WR Michael Thomas active. Tampa Bay’s defense is going to have to contain Drew Brees and all of his weapons to win this game. But if Brown can succeed in this offense and Tampa's defense keeps playing like it's been playing, The Bucs will cover the spread.
