We’ve officially made it to another weekend of college football! A lot is going on this weekend, as everyone, of course, is talking about the Georgia-Texas game. There’s a lot of fanfare surrounding that matchup, and rightfully so. Both teams are playoff hopefuls, and a win in this game could go a long way to building their future resume.
While we’ll talk more about that game in a little bit, there are plenty of other games on the slate to be excited about, which is why we’ve put some of our favorite Underdog player props together. We’re red-hot when it comes to college props, hitting 5 of the last 6 plays we’ve given out, and Underdog rescued us in the one play we didn’t hit!
Without further ado, let’s talk about our favorite plays of the weekend!
Let Brady cook, so they say. Brady Cook has been excellent this season for Mizzou and is a big reason they’re ranked within the AP’s Top 25. Missouri takes on Auburn this weekend in desperate need of a big win to keep themselves in playoff contention.
While this might have been a tougher matchup in years past, Auburn isn’t the same dominant team they’ve been. They’ve already lost to Cal, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Georgia, all but solidifying that they won’t be in the playoffs.
With all of that in mind, we believe Cook is going to have a massive game against them, perhaps throwing 2+ touchdown passes by the end of the first half. Auburn has been a favorable matchup for QBs this year, so look for Cook to take full advantage.
While Georgia-Texas is viewed as the game of the weekend, the matchup between Alabama and Tennessee should also provide some fireworks. Both teams have some incredible playmakers, but they both have great defenses as well.
Tennessee has one of the best rush defenses in the country, and they should force Jalen Milroe to throw the ball a lot. He will likely be limited on the ground in this one, which is why we’re taking the under on rushing yards.
You might find it slightly boring that we chose three quarterbacks as our favorite player props, but Quinn Ewers was our favorite pick of the Georgia-Texas game.
Ewers has been consistent when he’s on the field, a true leader for this Texas offense. We think this game has shootout potential, and with a suspected battle between Ewers and Carson Beck, we’re taking Ewers to throw for at least two touchdowns.
