The Championship game for both the men's and women's tournaments is set, and we couldn't ask for a better finish in both cases.
On the women's side, all eyes have been on Caitlin Clark throughout the tournament, but it is the reigning champs that are 37-0 and a heavy betting favorite on Sunday.
The South Carolina Gamecocks open as a 6.5 point favorite over Iowa with -110 juice on both sides of the spread, indicating bookmakers are taking equal action on both teams. Here are the current odds for Sunday's NCAAW Championship game:
Team | Spread | Total | Money |
---|---|---|---|
Iowa | +6.5 | O 160.5 | +225 |
South Carolina | -6.5 | U 160.5 | -278 |
This is going to be a competitive game, and while South Carolina is undefeated on the season, they have a number of tight games over the course fo the season. Their average margin of victory was just 4.5-points in two matchups againg Tennessee, and just 7 points in two matchups against LSU.
Coming off impressive back-to-back wins against LSU and UConn, this Iowa team is tested and should be able to keep this game close down to the wire.
While the betting options here are somewhat limited, there are a pair of props that caught our eye for today's NCAAW Championship game.
DraftKings set this number just slightly above Martin's season average, but the Senior guard has been rebounding the ball at an unbelievable clip throughout the Tournament. She has hit this number in 3 out of 4 tournament games, averaging 9.4 RPG over that stretch, including 14 rebounds against UConn.
Cardoso's over 10.5 rebounds prop is available at +100 at DraftKings and we are all over that number. Iowa has struggled against opposing forwards throughout the tournament, including giving up 31 points and 34 rebounds to Angel Reese and Aneesah Morrow in the Elite 8.
Cardoso has gone over this number just once in the tournament, but she has also averaged just 26 minutes per game. We think she gets to 11+ in a game that should see her play well over 30 minutes.
This is a fun prop to throw a sprinkle on and just hope that you have some action on the line if Clark is able to put up and iconic performance in the Championship game. She has hit 50+ PRA in 2 out of 4 NCAA Tournament games, averaging 47 PRA over the Hawkeyes' run.
