Boston College Golden Eagles vs. Pittsburgh Panthers, 2 pm Eastern

The Pick: Boston College -1.5 (-118), bet $23.60 to win $20

Two bad teams kick off the ACC Tournament, but Boston College isn’t quite as bad as Pittsburgh. Also, the Golden Eagles might not have been the favorite much this season, but when they are, they’ve gone 6-2. Finally, BC handled Pitt 69-56 on Jan. 30. I think Boston College has been a frisky bad team this year, while Pittsburgh has just been bad.

N.C. State Wolfpack vs. Clemson Tigers, 4:30 pm Eastern

The Pick: Clemson -5.5 (-102), bet $15.30 to win $15

N.C. State is 1-9 in their last ten games and 1-9 against the spread. Clemson beat the Wolfpack in Raleigh on Jan. 8, 70-65, and is a solid 17-13-1 against the spread this season. I don’t see a lot of upsets among the dregs of the ACC today, and I think the Wolfpack are even more done with this season than the Tigers.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Louisville Cardinals, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Georgia Tech +1.5 (-110), bet $33 to win $30; Georgia Tech +102, bet $15 to win $15.30

I don’t consider this an upset. The two teams have virtually identical records, but Georgia Tech has shown a bit of life lately. They have been playing hard during a lost season. Louisville lost their head coach mid-season and today will be a merciful end to a big disappointment.
