Yale Bulldogs at Dartmouth Big Green, 6 pm Eastern

The Pick: Yale -159, bet $39.68 to win $25; Yale -3 (-113), bet $16.85 to win $15

Yale has won ten straight against Dartmouth, but only won a 72-69 squeaker in their own gym less than three weeks ago. I don’t think today’s game will be that close. The Bulldogs are tied with Princeton at the top of the Ivy League standings, both 9-2, and although they’re both in the conference tournament, no doubt Yale wants to play the eventual fourth seed instead of the much better third seed (likely Penn). Yale is 10-5 against the spread this season as a favorite, and though Dartmouth is not as bad as their record indicates, and plays tough at home, Yale’s won three games in a row on the road and are just too big and athletic for the Big Green. There are two distinct tiers in the Ivy this year, and while Dartmouth competes with the lower tier (beating Columbia by 19 on Saturday), they haven’t beaten a top-tier team yet, and in their last game against one, Princeton, they lost by 45. They may not win by 45, but Yale will want to show they’re not any less capable of beating on the Big Green.
