Miami Hurricanes at Pittsburgh Panthers, 8 pm Eastern
The Pick: Miami -190, bet $47.17 to win $25; Miami -4 (-113), bet $16.85 to win $15
This is a game Miami has to have. The Hurricanes are battling for their NCAA Tournament seeding position, and since they beat Duke on Jan. 8, they are only 6-5 - not the way to be heading into the postseason. It’s not impossible that Miami could play themselves out of a March Madness spot if their uneven play keeps up. This is a game they should win, something they can’t assume for the remainder of the regular season. Despite the ragged last month, the Hurricanes are still 10-5 against the spread in their last 15 games, 7-1 ATS on the road. Miami scores over 12 points more per game than Pittsburgh, whose offense is ranked 343rd in the nation. They won’t be intimidated in Pittsburgh, having beaten the spread against the Panthers in their gym five of the last six. They do what's necessary tonight.
