Columbia Lions at Cornell Big Red, 5 pm Eastern

The Pick: Teaser Cornell -6.5 w/Yale +9.5 (-163), bet $16.25 to win $10;

Reverse Teaser Cornell -19 w/Yale -3 (+550), bet $5 to win $27.50

The first teaser is trust in the notion that Cornell will win and the Yale/Harvard game will be close. But the reverse teaser is interesting to me. I do see Yale winning tonight, but I can also see Cornell blowing out Columbia tonight in Ithaca. The Lions have lost their last six games by an average of 14.8 points, and the Big Red are still hanging on for the fourth and final spot in the Ivy League Tournament (eye roll at that half-measure straddling Ivy “principles” with modern reality). Cornell will want to make sure there’s no slip tonight. I’ll combine the two plays for a wide range of results that might pay off.

Yale Bulldogs at Harvard Crimson, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Yale +2 (-113), bet $22.47 to win $20; Yale +107, bet $10 to win $10.70

Yale needs this game. I mean, sure, I suppose given that Harvard is fifth in the Ivy League while Yale is second, Harvard needs it too. I would argue Yale needs it more because if they lose tonight, they fall into a virtual tie with Penn and Princeton. I mean, sure, Harvard needs it because if they lose, they fall further behind Cornell in fourth - all right, enough of this. Yale is better than Harvard and should’ve handled the Crimson easier on Saturday. They pulled out a three-point win, 58-55, letting Harvard hang around. In tonight’s rematch, I think the Bulldogs’ above-average defense (135th adjusted) will put the clamps down on Harvard’s mediocre offense (215th adjusted). Yale saw on Saturday that they should beat this team, and they’ll have an easier time tonight.
