Brown Bears at Pennsylvania Quakers, 3 pm Eastern

The Pick: Penn (-122), bet $12.20 to win $10

This game will be played without fans, and I’m not even going to bother attempting to ascertain the logic there. What I will do is say that, despite their 3-10 record, and current six-game losing streak, Penn plays hard and will be better than expected in the Ivy League this season. Several of those six losses were against top-ranked teams like Villanova and Arkansas. The Quakers also haven’t played since Dec. 11, so I imagine, fans or not, they’ll be hyped to play hard and well in the Palestra. I’ll pay a little extra to not worry about laying the 1.5 points.

Dartmouth Big Green at Cornell Big Red Bears, 2 pm Eastern

The Pick: Cornell -4.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10; Moneyline Parlay, Cornell w/Penn (+168), bet $5 to win $8.43

I’ll parlay the Quakers with Cornell, who host a Dartmouth team reeling with a seven-game losing streak. The difference between Dartmouth’s losing streak and Penn’s is, the Big Green have been losing to teams like Cal-State Bakersfield. Dartmouth also only manages 68.8 points per game, while Cornell scores 86.3. Cornell’s adjusted tempo is actually seventh in the entire country; I suspect Dartmouth will have trouble keeping up. I’ll take Cornell to continue to put up points and cover today.
