Jordan Hall scored 22 of St. Joe's 52 points against Villanova. Tonight the Hawks host Penn (in a game that should be at the Palestra, just sayin').  @SJUHawks_MBB on Twitter

The Pick: Teaser Penn +10.5 w/Dartmouth +3.5 -125, bet $18.75 to win $15

Teasing two teams, both of whom I think should be favored, so I’m getting points in each game. Pennsylvania is 212th in the Pomeroy rankings while St. Joe’s is 208th. It’s basically a toss-up, and even if we factor in that the Hawks are home (which is basically a soft pretzel’s throw away from Penn’s home), if I can get the Quakers with double-digit points, I like that. Penn is 3-8 but that’s a little deceptive. They played a stretch of eight games in 15 days with significant travel. They play hard and unafraid, and battled a top team like Villanova with heart last week. Dartmouth is at home in another essential toss-up (the Big Green is 263th, the Bobcats 256th), so teasing Dartmouth down to a “home dog” seems like the right play. Quinnipiac lost to another Ivy team, Brown, by double-digits last week. Dartmouth should win, or at the very least keep it close.
